Iceland Bird
watching towers

Type:

Architectural research
Location:

Djupivogur, Iceland
Designed in:

Eindhoven,
The Netherlands

For the project, we were assigned to explore possibilites of building a set of three towers for bird watchers in the abandoned air strip of Djupivogur, in Eastern Iceland.

Yet, the assignment itself was kept quite short, and did leave a lot for imagination, not only in drawing up the towers, but also examining the local economical and biological situation, thus strenghtening the project's reasoning.
