THE SPIRIT FOR THE ROAD
What?
Exhibition "The Spirit for the Road!" was held in the september of 2021.
It consisted of several artworks from national and international artists, from South Africa, Japan, Ukraine, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia. Artists depicted the given theme in paintings, drawings, sculptures and installation works. The Spirit for the Road! was a celebration of the road itself, no matter what kind.

There was a brief time, when restrictions were loosened a bit, thus, we took that opportunity, of course, with precautions in mind, to create an exhibition, celebrating the road, stories and interpretations behind it.
Because people, expecially artists and persons representing the creative industries were largely out of the job and were left with no place to gain real income or to reach their audience, the exhibition were also a solution to bring that sense of connection and interaction back.
Nevertheless, I wanted to take a leap into the platforms, DE.ĢENERĀCIJA, progress by creating an international exhibition.
Because people, expecially artists and persons representing the creative industries were largely out of the job and were left with no place to gain real income or to reach their audience, the exhibition were also a solution to bring that sense of connection and interaction back.
Nevertheless, I wanted to take a leap into the platforms, DE.ĢENERĀCIJA, progress by creating an international exhibition.

.We organized the exhibition in the life design institute “Viskaļi 36” located in Riga, Latvia. This space was chosen because of its significance and impact on the local, underground art scene and its rich and diverse community residing there.
